Prof. Miriam Cnop (Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium)
She is one of top runners in the research field of pancreatic beta cell. She got Minkowski-Preis of European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in 2013.
Prof. Shoen Kume (School of Life Science and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan)
She is one of top runners in the research field of pancreas / beta cell differentiation-inducing from ES cells and iPS cells.
Associate Prof. Takayuki Anazawa (Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery and Transplantation, Kyoto University Hospital)
He is a promised young scientist in the field of islet transplantation and as well as talented surgeon.
Manager Kazuhiko Chikazawa (Cellular and Tissue-based Products inspection unit, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, Japan)
Dr. Masako Doi (Director of Naruto Laboratory, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory)
Currently, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory is developing bio-artificial islet for transplantation to T1DM patients.
