Our visiting professor, Dr. Toichi Takenaka recieved "The Lifetime Achievement Award".
This award has been known in Europe but awarded for the first time in Japan. His excellent and dedicated contribution not only to Japanese domestic pharmaceitical industry but also to global pharmaceuticals was evaluated. He developed several important medicines including tamsulosin that was highly evaluated as well.
I think our lab members and students in GPU are very lucky to may have his lectures soon or later.
